The power of connections; how SF builds relationships with real results.
“My relationship with SF is fairly new. I met them last year through a friend in the investment world who suggested I meet with the team. I’m a big proponent of ‘people buy from people’, trust and relationships are key - that counts in recruitment.
I met with consultants from both the executive search and the recruitment side of the business. The energy and personalities were similar - the people element is a strong part of the business.
Honestly, I haven’t been able to put a lot of business their way, just a couple of mid-level management roles, but they have still worked hard to connect me with relevant, like-minded people who can help me with the stage I’m at with the business. I like that. That won’t help them make a sale but they’ve gone above and beyond to understand me and support me to make connections in my world.
I’d describe them as gently persistent, in a good way, not salesy or pushy. The big recruiters come across to me as staid and corporate, but the energy at SF is upbeat and less corporate, which holds more resonance.
SF Recruitment is becoming SF Partners to better reflect the way they work in partnership with candidates and clients, or potential clients like me, and that came through from the conversations I had at the search end of the business to the mid-level and junior roles.
Although I’m in the early stages with SF, I have already introduced my friends to them on the basis that I have struck up a good relationship with them. I like the way they are handling me, and that’s a good starting point. It’s always worth a conversation with SF.”
