“I first heard about SF when I was looking for a job myself, back when I was leaving audit. I was working in Birmingham at the time and had a good relationship with a consultant at SF. He was really supportive and as my career has grown, we’ve kept in touch.

I soon started to use SF to hire new people for my first team and they’ve found numerous finance candidates for me over the years as I progressed my career at different companies. I’ve been at CloserStill for over nine years now and they’ve essentially helped me build my whole finance team. I’ve built a great relationship with all of the SF consultants I’ve worked with and they’ve consistently been able to see what’s important to me and the business. I’ve worked with SF to source everything from director level roles though to qualified management accountants and purchase ledger clerks. The candidates work out, they stay. That’s because SF’s consultants take the time to understand the fit and not just the CV, that’s the most important thing. When I’m recruiting, I want to see the top three people based on both fit and experience. They deliver - that’s what they do. They know me and they understand my business’s goals. They are also very quick to respond. If you happen to have a question or mention something in passing, someone is on the phone, five minutes later sorting it out for you - they are hungry to grow, but in a good way! The SF team have a lot of energy. They get that we want to hire people who want to grow their careers, not seat fillers.
