This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for depot operations, rental fleet performance, workshop activities, team management, and service delivery. You'll play a key role in supporting business growth while driving continuous improvement across the department.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys being close to the operation, leading from the front and taking ownership of performance. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, commercially aware, and passionate about improving processes, driving efficiencies, and building a strong team culture. You'll be a confident communicator who can build relationships across multiple departments and stakeholders, whilst maintaining high standards and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As Rental Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the UK rental operation, ensuring equipment, people, and processes are operating efficiently and safely while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop depot and rental operations to maximise efficiency and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes and service delivery.
- Ensure fleet readiness, maintenance planning, asset utilisation, and inventory control.
- Oversee workshop operations, equipment testing, refurbishment, and turnaround times.
- Maintain full compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage operational KPIs, service levels, and business performance metrics.
- Support successful project delivery through effective resource and logistics planning.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop operational teams to create a high-performance culture.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, fleet, and logistics teams to support business growth.

About You

- Proven experience in an operational leadership or management role.
- Background within rental, industrial services, power solutions, or asset-based operations.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing workshops, technical teams, fleets, or operational assets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Commercially aware with a focus on operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Organised, hands-on, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive individual who enjoys solving problems and implementing improvements.
- Someone who leads by example, takes accountability, and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up when needed.

Desirable Experience

- Fleet or asset management.
- ISO standards and quality management systems.

What's On Offer?
