Interim Accountant

SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic public sector body in the recruitment of an interim Accountant. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Assistant Accountant will support across the finance function in a broad scope role. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or a CIMA/ACCA part-qualified Accountant. You will have strong understanding of management and financial accounting principles and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactions
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support the financial accounting team in various tasks as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
